Receptionist & Social Media Assistant

Part-Time

Do you want more than just a receptionist position? One where you can have fun and use your creativity to learn and grow with a company? Then you might be the Front Face we are looking for!

We are currently hiring for our front desk and looking for someone who is not only comfortable and confident to take on the front face of this well-established business, but also someone who is excited to work with the owner and marketing consultant to create fun and exciting social media content, educational videos, campaigns (contests & giveaways), and community events.

We are looking for someone with drive who wants to grow with our company as we make plans for exciting new changes and expansion. This role has great potential to grow with more responsibilities as these changes take place.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Greeting and checking in all clients, managing phone and messages, booking and scheduling of appointments using various methods (phone, email, social media messages).

  • Work closely with the owner and marketing consultant to create and post social media posts, videos, giveaways, community events, and monitor comments and messages on these platforms.

  • Financial transactions with customers, balancing and open/closing cash. Dealing with cash, tips, credit cards, and bank debit.

  • Light cleaning duties around the salon and running errands when required.

  • Assist in handling busy time periods, with flexibility to take on more hours during back-to-school rush, Christmas and New Years, and March break.

  • Must be available for a minimum of 3 weeknight shifts and one weekend shift.

Ideal Candidate Experience:

  • Candidate must be confident and comfortable speaking with clients, directing the day, and collaborating with other professionals.

  • Knowledge of Gmail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and Apple products.

  • Social media savvy, especially on INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK, and TIKTOK with the ability to use programs such as Canva and IMOVIE.

  • Front desk experience and/or, a passion for the hair industry.

  • Someone seeking long term growth is an asset as we see this role growing into much more.

Barber / Stylist

Full-Time & Part-Time
